In his book, "The Darkest Dark", the main character, a young boy named Chris, imagines himself as an astronaut. He resists sleep when his imagination gets the better of him - he imagines aliens in his dark room. His parents, tired and wanting to get some sleep, remind him that there is something special the next day. Chris tries very hard to sleep, dreaming of space. The special event was watching the moon landing on TV. After that event, Chris was inspired to explore the darkness of Space. Novelist suggests this picture book is for Pre-K - Grade 2 Show less
